PM Kisan 24th Installment: After receiving the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, lakhs of farmers across the country are eagerly awaiting the 24th installment. If you are also expecting the next installment of ₹2,000 under the PM Kisan scheme, this information is crucial for you. As always, many farmers are wondering when the next installment will arrive and whether their payment might get stuck. To ensure the installment reaches your account without any hurdles, it is advisable to complete certain essential tasks in a timely manner.
Here, we outline the important tasks that must be completed on time; failing to do so could result in missing out on the next PM Kisan installment. Let’s find out more...
When might the 24th PM Kisan installment be released?
Under the PM Kisan Scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually. This amount is transferred directly to their bank accounts in three installments of ₹2,000 each. The government has released 23 installments so far.
Typically, each installment of the scheme is released at intervals of approximately four months. The previous (23rd) installment was released in June. Consequently, it is estimated that the 24th installment could be released in October. However, there has been no official announcement regarding this yet.
1. Complete e-KYC first
If you have not yet completed your e-KYC, your next installment could be withheld. The government has clarified that completing e-KYC is mandatory. You can complete the e-KYC process via OTP on the PM Kisan portal. Additionally, biometric e-KYC facilities are available at nearby CSC centers. e-KYC can also be completed using the 'Face Authentication' feature on the PM Kisan mobile app. The status of the e-KYC usually appears on the portal approximately 24 hours after the process is completed. 2. Link your bank account with Aadhaar and NPCI (DBT)
The PM Kisan installment amount is transferred directly to your bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Therefore, it is essential that your bank account is linked with Aadhaar and NPCI (DBT).
If DBT is not enabled for your account, the installment money cannot be transferred. Hence, you should visit your bank and verify your DBT status.
3. Keep land records accurate and updated
Often, farmers' installments get stalled due to issues related to land information. If land records are not updated, mapping on the portal is incorrect, mutation is pending, or the land is under dispute, the system may mark the farmer as ineligible. Therefore, it is crucial to update your agricultural land records promptly.
4. Check bank account details
Many farmers fail to receive their installments simply due to errors in bank details. You should verify details such as the spelling of your name, account number, IFSC code, and bank KYC information. If there are any errors, get them corrected immediately to ensure there are no issues with receiving the payment.
5. Check your Beneficiary Status
If you wish to know whether your name is still on the PM Kisan scheme list, visit the portal and check the 'PM Kisan Beneficiary Status' or 'PM Kisan Beneficiary List'.
To do this, visit the PM Kisan portal and select the 'Beneficiary List' option.
Then, select your state, district, block, and village, and click on 'Get Report'.
The beneficiary list will then appear, allowing you to check for your name.
If your name is on the list, there is a strong possibility that the next installment of ₹2,000 will be credited to your bank account; however, if your name is not on the list, contact your nearest agriculture office or CSC center.
What could cause your installment to get stalled?
The next PM Kisan installment could be delayed or stalled for several reasons. These issues include incomplete e-KYC, incorrect bank account details, the failure to link the Aadhaar card with the bank account, inactive DBT status, and discrepancies in land records. If these necessary tasks are completed promptly, the ₹2,000 installment (the 24th installment) is likely to be credited directly to your bank account without any hassle.
