PM-Kisan 21st Installment: ₹2,000 to Be Transferred Today, Millions of Farmers to Receive Direct Benefit
The wait for millions of farmers across the country is finally coming to an end. The government is set to release the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme today, 19 November. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse the installment from Coimbatore, transferring ₹2,000 directly into the bank accounts of eligible farmers.
Government to Transfer Funds Directly to Farmers’ Bank Accounts
As per the official announcement, the 21st installment will be sent via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), ensuring complete transparency and quick access to financial support. The PM-Kisan scheme provides ₹6,000 annually to eligible farmers in three installments of ₹2,000 each. This financial aid is intended to help farmers meet their agricultural expenses and reduce financial stress during cultivation cycles.
The government has confirmed that this installment will benefit nearly 9 crore farmers nationwide, with a total disbursement of ₹18,000 crore. In addition, 66.62 lakh farmers in Rajasthan will receive ₹1,332 crore under the 21st installment.
What Is PM-Kisan and How Does It Help Farmers?
Launched to ensure financial stability for small and marginal farmers, the PM-Kisan scheme has become one of India’s most impactful welfare initiatives. The amount is credited directly to farmers’ accounts, enabling them to purchase seeds, fertilizers, and other essential farm inputs without depending heavily on loans.
Since the inception of the scheme, 20 installments have already been transferred to farmers. Rajasthan alone has received ₹25,142 crore through these installments. Additionally, under the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the state government provides ₹3,000 extra every year to PM-Kisan beneficiaries, further boosting their financial support.

Scheme’s Growing Impact and Expectations Ahead
