PM Kisan 21st Installment Released: Over 27 Lakh Farmers Receive Funds, Check Your Payment Status Online

The Central Government has released the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme for farmers in three northern regions. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced on Friday that the latest payment has been credited directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
This installment, totaling over ₹540 crore, has been disbursed to more than 27 lakh farmers, including around 2.7 lakh women farmers. The early release is aimed at providing urgent relief to farmers affected by recent floods and landslides that damaged crops and livelihoods in parts of the region.
State-Wise Disbursement of Funds
The 21st installment covers three key regions where natural calamities have hit farmers hard:
-
Himachal Pradesh: ₹160.21 crore has been transferred to the accounts of 8,01,045 farmers.
-
Punjab: 11,09,895 farmers have received ₹221.98 crore.
-
Uttarakhand: ₹157.83 crore has been credited to 7,89,128 farmers.
Chouhan said the ₹2,000 per farmer payment will provide immediate financial assistance for household needs, purchasing seeds and fertilizers, and preparing for the next sowing season.
What is the PM-Kisan Scheme?
Launched to support small and marginal farmers, the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi provides ₹6,000 annually to eligible farmers in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. The payments are made every four months to ensure consistent financial aid for agricultural expenses.

Importance of Timely Payments

Beneficiaries are advised to check their payment status promptly and ensure their bank and Aadhaar details are correctly updated to avoid delays in future installments.
