The 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme has been released, bringing direct financial assistance to millions of farmers across the country. On 19 November, the Prime Minister transferred the latest installment during an event held in Coimbatore. With this release, ₹18,000 crore has been credited to the accounts of more than 9 crore farmer families. Farmers are now actively checking whether the ₹2,000 installment has reflected in their bank accounts.

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is among the most significant financial support schemes for small and marginal farmers. Under the programme, eligible farmers receive an annual assistance of ₹6,000. This amount is transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in three instalments of ₹2,000 each, delivered every four months. So far, more than ₹3.90 lakh crore has been disbursed across 20 installments, with the previous installment issued in August benefiting nearly 9.8 crore farmers.

With the release of the 21st installment, farmers across rural and semi-urban regions are checking SMS alerts, updating bank passbooks and verifying their account balances. If you are a PM-KISAN beneficiary, there are simple methods to confirm whether the latest payment has been credited.

1. Check Your Status on the PM-KISAN Website
Beneficiaries can easily verify their payment details online by visiting the official PM-KISAN portal.

  • Visit the official website: pmkisan.gov.in

  • On the homepage, click on Know Your Status

  • Enter your Aadhaar number, registered mobile number, or PM-Kisan ID

  • Enter the captcha and click Get Status

The screen will display complete information including:

  • Whether the installment has been released

  • The date of transaction

  • Current beneficiary status

This is the quickest way to check installment-related updates.

2. Use the PM-KISAN Mobile App
Smartphone users can view their payment details through the official app available on the Google Play Store.

  • Download the PM-KISAN Mobile App

  • Select Beneficiary Status

  • Enter your Aadhaar number or registered mobile number

The app shows a detailed list of previous installments along with the current one.

3. Check Bank Passbook or SMS Alerts
Since the installment is credited directly to your bank account, payment confirmation can also be done through:

  • SMS alerts from your bank

  • Updating your passbook at any nearby branch

  • Checking balance via mobile banking or Aadhaar-enabled payment systems (AePS)

In many rural regions, farmers also use fingerprint authentication under AePS to check their balance instantly.

4. Visit Local Centres for Assistance
If your status shows Pending, On Hold, or Rejected, you may need to update certain details. In such cases, visit:

  • The nearest Agriculture Department office

  • Your local Common Service Centre (CSC)

Delays often occur due to incorrect Aadhaar details, mismatched bank information, or incomplete e-KYC.

5. Complete e-KYC to Avoid Payment Issues
One of the primary reasons for payment delays is incomplete e-KYC. To ensure uninterrupted receipt of installments, farmers must complete e-KYC either online at pmkisan.gov.in or through a CSC using biometric verification.

The PM-KISAN scheme continues to provide crucial financial support to farmers across the country. By following the above steps, beneficiaries can easily confirm their installment status and resolve any issues promptly.
