🌾 Relief for Farmers: PM Kisan’s 21st Installment Expected Soon

There’s good news for millions of Indian farmers. The 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme is expected to be released in the first week of November 2025. Although the official date has not yet been confirmed by the government, reports suggest that preparations are in the final stages.

Farmers who have not yet completed their registration or eKYC verification are advised to do so immediately. Completing these steps will ensure that the ₹2,000 installment reaches their bank accounts on time through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

💰 What Is the PM-KISAN Scheme?

Launched in 2019 during the Interim Budget, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a flagship central government initiative aimed at providing financial support to small and marginal farmers across India.

Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive a total of ₹6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. The payments are transferred directly into farmers’ bank accounts every four months via DBT, making it one of the largest direct cash transfer programs in the world.

📅 Payment Cycle for PM-Kisan

  • 1st Installment: April – July

  • 2nd Installment: August – November

  • 3rd Installment: December – March

Each payment helps farmers manage seasonal agricultural expenses and ensures financial stability throughout the year.

✅ Eligibility Criteria for PM-KISAN

To receive benefits under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, farmers must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be an Indian citizen.

  • Should own cultivable land in their name.

  • Must be a small or marginal farmer.

  • Farmers earning a pension of ₹10,000 or more per month or those who file income tax are not eligible.

  • Institutional landholders, such as companies or trusts, are excluded from the scheme.

🌱 A Lifeline for Small Farmers

Since its launch, PM-KISAN has emerged as a major support system for rural India. The scheme not only provides timely financial aid but also helps farmers invest in seeds, fertilizers, and farm equipment during critical agricultural seasons.

As the 21st installment is expected in early November, experts suggest that farmers who haven’t registered should complete the process immediately to receive the upcoming ₹2,000 payment without any delay.
