Great news for over 9.8 crore farmers eagerly awaiting financial support under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. As per reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to announce the release of the scheme’s 20th installment today, July 18, during a massive rally in Motihari, Bihar (East Champaran).

Once officially announced, the eligible farmers will receive a ₹2,000 installment directly into their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

What is PM Kisan Yojana?

Launched in 2019, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) is one of the world’s largest DBT schemes. Introduced by then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal during the Interim Budget, it aims to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers across India.
