PM Jan Dhan: Do you have an account in PM Jan Dhan Bank? Do this work by 30 September..

PM Jan Dhan Yojana: A revolutionary step was taken in the year 2014 to connect every poor person of the country to the world of banking. Under this, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana was started. This scheme opened the doors of bank accounts for millions of people, that too without depositing a single penny. Now, the help of government schemes started reaching their accounts directly, which made their life easier and empowered.
If you also have a bank account under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, then this news is very important for you. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recently made a big announcement that it is mandatory to do KYC again to update the information of Jan Dhan accounts.
Opportunity is still 30 September
Banks have started setting up special camps in villages for KYC, which will run from 1 July 2025 to 30 September 2025. If you have not updated the KYC of your account yet, then do this work quickly; otherwise, there may be a problem with the transactions related to the account.
All this information can be updated.
RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra has informed that after the completion of 10 years of Jan Dhan Yojana, the information of many accounts has become outdated. Therefore, banks have been instructed to help people by organizing camps at the Panchayat level. In these camps, you can update information like your Aadhar card, address, and phone number. This process is very easy and does not take much time. You just have to take your important documents like Aadhar card, PAN card, or any other identity card.
You can also register a complaint related to the bank.
The purpose of these camps is not only to update KYC. Here, information is also being given about opening new accounts, registration in small insurance schemes like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, and Atal Pension Yojana. Also, if you have any complaints with the bank, then they can also be resolved in these camps. These camps are especially for the people living in villages and small towns, so that they do not have to go to the bank, and the facilities reach them.
Benefits of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana was started in 2014. Its purpose was to connect every family with banking services, especially those who were never connected to the bank before. So far, about 56 crore accounts have been opened under this scheme. These accounts get a free RuPay debit card, along with which accident insurance of Rs 2 lakh is also available. Apart from this, account holders can also avail facilities like small loans, pension and insurance. But to retain these facilities, it is necessary to update KYC from time to time.
What will happen if KYC is not updated?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also praised this scheme. He said that Jan Dhan Yojana has made the lives of the poor easier by connecting them to banking. But if you do not update your KYC by 30 September 2025, your account may be frozen.
With this, the money of government schemes will not come into your account and you will not be able to transact. So go to your nearest camp or bank branch as soon as possible and complete this work. If there is no camp in your village, then contact your bank. This small step will keep your hard-earned money and facilities safe.
