The objective of this scheme is to assist economically weaker sections and middle-class families in building their own homes.

Beneficiaries

Under this scheme, run by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, eligible families living in cities across the country will receive assistance to build permanent homes. The government has set a target to construct 1 crore new homes in the next phase.
