If you were also troubled by fake apps on the Play Store, then there is big news for you. Google has made arrangements for the Play Store. According to Google, now there will be no problem in identifying trusted apps on the Play Store. Google has launched a new way to identify 'trusted' apps on the Play Store. Consumer-focused VPN apps that meet user privacy and security standards will now appear with a verified badge. The badge feature is only for VPN apps.

Currently, NordVPN and Aloha Browser are some of the apps that have received this badge. In a blog post, Google said that the new verified badge is part of existing features such as Play Store banners and data protection declaration. These badges will appear in search results, app description pages, and a special list of approved VPNs. To receive it, apps must meet the following criteria.

Completing the Mobile Application Security Assessment (MASA) level 2 verification

Having an organization developer account type

Meeting the target API level requirements for Google Play apps

Having at least 10,000 installs and 250 reviews

Having been published on Google Play for at least 90 days

Submitting a Data Protection Section declaration, which includes independent security review and encryption.

Google claims that this badge will help developers increase the credibility of their apps and attract more users. Currently, NordVPN, hide.me, and Aloha Browser are listed with this badge, giving them a more competitive edge.
