Petrol-Diesel Rates Today (June 29): It has been over a month since the last hike in petrol and diesel prices in the country. Retail prices for petrol and diesel in India have remained stable for the past 34 days; there is no change in prices today, June 29.
The last price hike occurred on May 25. At that time, state-owned fuel companies raised petrol prices by ₹2.61 per litre and diesel prices by ₹2.71 per litre.
Prices still above ₹100
In Delhi, the price of petrol remains above ₹100 per litre. Following the hike on May 25, the price stands at ₹102.12 per litre for petrol and ₹95.20 per litre for diesel. In Mumbai, petrol prices have crossed the ₹110 mark—standing at ₹111.21 per litre for petrol and ₹97.83 per litre for diesel. In major cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, petrol prices remain above ₹110 per litre, while diesel prices are below ₹100 per litre—except in Hyderabad, where it costs ₹103.82 per litre.

Crude oil prices fell on Friday morning, and a further significant drop is expected this week. Concerns regarding supplies through the Strait of Hormuz have eased due to reduced tensions between the US and Iran. Oil tankers that were stuck in the Strait of Hormuz are now moving out. Brent crude futures fell 19 cents, or 0.25%, to $75.07 per barrel, and US West Texas Intermediate also dropped 13 cents, or 0.18%, to $71.79 per barrel.
