Pensioners can now submit their life certificates from home; the government has launched the 'DLC Campaign 4.0'; learn about the easy process...
The government has launched the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0, enabling pensioners across the country to easily submit their life certificates from the comfort of their homes. This facility has brought relief, especially to elderly and disabled pensioners. Pensioners will no longer need to stand in queues at banks or offices.
The campaign aims to provide this digital facility to over 20 million pensioners. The government says it is being implemented in over 2,000 cities and towns across the country to ensure digital empowerment reaches every pensioner.
Dr. Jitendra Singh launches a nationwide campaign.
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh will attend the SBI Mega Camp being held at the NDMC Convention Center in New Delhi on Monday. He will interact with pensioners who are submitting digital life certificates through face authentication. Several agencies, including the State Bank of India (SBI), India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), UIDAI, and NIC, are participating in this program.
Dr. Jitendra Singh explained that this campaign is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India vision, which aims to simplify the pension process for senior citizens.
No more standing in long bank queues
Previously, pensioners had to submit a physical life certificate every year at a bank or government office. However, the government has now completely digitized it. You can now complete this task in a matter of minutes using the Jeevan Pramaan App from your mobile phone or laptop.
Simply download the app, verify your face or fingerprint with Aadhaar, and submit the certificate. Upon submission, you will receive a download link with a Certificate ID and PPO number.
Special facility for super senior and disabled pensioners
The government has provided special facilities for pensioners above 80 years of age. Now, both banks and post offices are offering doorstep services for submitting digital life certificates. This will save senior citizens the hassle of waiting in line and ensure their pension is credited to their accounts on time.
India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) agents are also providing this service at home, providing relief to super senior citizens and disabled pensioners.
EPFO also simplified the process
EPFO has also simplified the process for pensioners to submit digital life certificates. Now, EPFO members can submit the certificate directly by scanning their face from their mobile phones. This feature is especially helpful for those who cannot leave their homes.

Go to the Face RD App and scan your face.
Enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number in the Jeevan Pramaan App and verify it with an OTP.
Click a photo with your camera and submit it.
In a few minutes, you will receive a certificate submission message and a download link.
Government's Goal: Digital Access for Every Pensioner
The government states that this initiative is aligned with the Digital India and Ease of Living Mission. This will provide convenience to pensioners, increase transparency, and reduce the time taken in the pension distribution process. The government's goal is to make this facility available to every pensioner in the country, so that no one is deprived of their pension simply because they cannot access a bank.
