The Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare (DoPPW) has announced the launch of a Digital Life Certificate (DLC) campaign across the country. This campaign will be run in 1,600 districts and sub-divisional headquarters across the country from November 1 to November 30, 2025.

The objective of this special camp is that pensioners get the facility near their home, and they do not have to visit banks or government offices. India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) and major pension distribution banks are cooperating in this.

Special facility for super senior citizens
The government has made special provisions for pensioners who are 80 years of age or above. Such elderly people can submit life certificates only from October 1, 2025. For this, banks have been instructed to keep their branches ready for DLC services from the month of October. The purpose of this is that the elderly do not have to go out again and again at the beginning of winter.

You can also submit DLC from mobile.
Now, pensioners can also submit a life certificate from their mobile phones, sitting at home, that too only with face authentication. This method is especially useful for those who cannot move or live in remote areas. Let us know how to use this facility.

Install necessary apps
First of all, go to the Google Play Store on your smartphone and install the “Aadhaar Face RD” app. This app has been released by UIDAI and is necessary for face scanning. After this, you will also have to install another app called “Jeevan Pramaan”, which is used to generate a digital life certificate.

Register yourself as an operator.
When both the apps are installed, open the ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ app. First of all, you have to do operator registration. In this, information like Aadhaar number, mobile number, and email has to be entered, and then verification has to be completed through OTP.

Submit DLC by authenticating your face.
After operator registration, the real work begins. After filling in the pensioner details, the app will recognize your face. Before scanning, the necessary instructions will appear on the screen, read them carefully and allow the scan. Once the scan is complete, a successful DLC submit message will appear on the screen, which will include the certificate ID and PPO number. You can download your certificate by visiting the website through this ID.
