The feature Paytm users have long awaited has finally been released ahead of Friendship Day. It is Paytm's new "Split Bills" feature, which allows you to split bills equally with your friends.

Paytm has rolled out its highly anticipated "Split Bills" feature for users. The company specifically launched this feature before Friendship Day so that whenever you go out for meals or outings with friends, you can easily split the bill among yourselves. With this new feature, you can not only split bills but also track group expenses, determine each person's share of the total bill, and have everyone contribute their share in one place. Paytm users had been waiting for this feature for a long time. Notably, this feature is already available on platforms like PhonePe and Google Pay. Let’s look at the details.

Paytm announced the rollout of the new "Split Bills" feature via its official X handle. In the post, the company wrote, "This is for all those friends who say, 'I'll Paytm you when I get home,' and then forget. This Friendship Day, keep only memories, not pending payments. Split the costs of your trips, meals, shopping, and fuel with Paytm Split Bills. All you need to do is create a group, split the bill, and complete the payment."

Friendship Day is being celebrated this Sunday. To ensure there is no confusion regarding bills among friends on this day, Paytm has released this special and much-awaited feature. You simply need to create a group that includes your friends. Enter the total amount paid, and the sum will be split equally among everyone in the group.

How to use the Paytm Split Bills feature

1. First, open the Paytm app on your phone.

2. Next, click on the "Pay Anyone" option. 3. Here, you will see the new 'Split Bills' option.

4. Once you navigate to the 'Split Bills' option, click on 'Create a new group' or type in the name of an existing group.

5. If creating a new group, add the people with whom you wish to split the bill.

6. Now, give the group a name.

7. Next, go to 'Add Expense' and enter the amount.

8. Doing so will automatically split the amount equally among all members of the group. Members can then settle the bill by making UPI payments from their respective accounts.
