Paytm Introduces UPI Lite Auto Top-Up Feature: Make Payments Without a PIN

Paytm, under its parent company One97 Communications Limited, has unveiled an innovative UPI Lite Auto Top-Up feature. This allows users to make seamless small-value payments of up to ₹500 without entering a UPI PIN, further enhancing convenience for day-to-day transactions.

What is UPI Lite?

The UPI Lite system, introduced by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in September 2022, is designed for hassle-free, low-value transactions. It acts as a preloaded on-device wallet to handle frequent payments while avoiding the need for PIN entry or cluttering your bank statement.

Key Features of UPI Lite via Paytm

1. Payment Without PIN

   • Users can make payments up to ₹500 without entering a UPI PIN.
   • Ideal for transactions like grocery shopping, public transport, or small bills.

2. Daily Payment Limit

   • The daily transaction limit for UPI Lite is ₹2,000.

3. Wallet Balance and Reloads

   • The UPI Lite wallet can hold a maximum of ₹2,000.
   • Users can reload the wallet up to five times a day, maintaining the balance for seamless use.

4. Auto Top-Up Feature

   • Users can set a minimum balance for their UPI Lite wallet.
   • Once the balance dips below the set threshold, it will automatically reload from the linked bank account.

5. Clutter-Free Bank Statements

   • Transactions made via UPI Lite do not reflect in your bank statement. This keeps your main account clean and focused on significant transactions.

How to Use the Paytm UPI Lite Auto Top-Up Feature

1. Enable UPI Lite in Paytm App:
