Passengers to face inconvenience until January 11th; check which trains the railways have cancelled

Train Cancelled Update: From January 5th to 11th, the railways have decided to cancel several trains and reschedule some others. Therefore, please check your train status before traveling.

Train Cancelled Update: The country is experiencing severe winter conditions these days, and its impact is clearly visible on railway operations. Due to fog, cold weather, and maintenance work, the speed and schedule of trains are being affected on several routes. In this regard, the railway administration will be carrying out track maintenance work in the Adra railway division from January 5th to 11th using a rolling block system. Due to track maintenance and technical improvements, South Eastern Railway has issued a prior alert to passengers.

The railways have decided to cancel a total of eight trains on different dates. In addition, 12 trains will be operated with short termination and short origination before their destination. Three express trains and one MEMU train have been rescheduled by one to three hours. Therefore, passengers planning to travel until January 11th are advised to check their train status before leaving home.

Trains Cancelled Until This Date

The operation of several trains will be affected by January 11th. During this period, some trains have been cancelled, while others will be stopped en route. According to the railways, train number 12802 Anand Vihar–Puri Purushottam Express will be controlled for approximately 30 minutes between Chandrapura–Rajabera railway section from January 8th to 11th. Similarly, train number 28182 Katihar–Tatanagar Express, departing from Katihar on January 10th, will be stopped at Burnpur for 30 minutes.

In addition, train number 18182 Thawe–Tatanagar Express, departing from Thawe on January 9th, will also be controlled at Burnpur for 30 minutes. This decision of the railways will directly affect thousands of passengers in Jharkhand, Bihar, and West Bengal. Therefore, the railways have advised passengers to check the latest status of their train before traveling.

These trains are cancelled until January 11th:

  • Train number 68053/68054 Adra-Barabhum-Adra MEMU Passenger will be cancelled on January 1st.
  • Train number 68077/68078 Adra-Bhaga-Adra MEMU will be cancelled on January 6th and 10th.
  • Train number 68061/68062 Adra-Asansol-Adra MEMU will be cancelled on January 11th.

Short Terminated and Short Originated Trains:

  • Train number 18019/18020 Jhargram-Dhanbad-Jhargram Express: From January 5th to 9th and on January 11th, this train will only run up to Bokaro Steel City station. The service between Bokaro and Dhanbad will be cancelled.
  • Train number 13503/13504 Bardhaman-Hatia-Bardhaman MEMU Express: From January 5th to 11th, this train will only run up to Gomoh station. The service between Gomoh and Hatia will be cancelled.
  • Train number 68056/68060 Tatanagar-Asansol MEMU-Barabhum MEMU: On January 6th, this train will run up to Adra station. The service between Adra and Asansol station will be cancelled.
  • Train number 63594/63593: Asansol-Purulia-Asansol MEMU Express: On January 11th, this train will complete its journey only up to Adra station. The service between Adra and Purulia will be cancelled.
  • Train number 68055/68056 Asansol-Tatanagar-Asansol MEMU: On January 7th, this train will complete its journey only up to Adra station. The service between Adra and Tatanagar will be cancelled.
  • Train number 68099/68089 Adra - Medinipur - Adra MEMU will run only up to Chandrakona Road station on January 6th. The train service between Chandrakona Road and Medinipur station will remain cancelled.
