Indian Railways Update: There is important news for rail passengers. Certain services of the Delhi PRS (Passenger Reservation System) will be affected for a period of five hours. These services will remain suspended for a specific duration starting from midnight on March 26–27, 2026. During this time, you will be unable to book tickets, cancel tickets, make ticket-related inquiries, or check PNR status; furthermore, Current Reservation services and online booking for trains originating from Delhi will not be available. On the night of March 26–27, 2026, select services of the Delhi PRS (Passenger Reservation System) will remain temporarily suspended.

For how long will the services remain suspended?
Northern Railway has announced that Delhi PRS services will remain suspended for approximately 5 hours. This shutdown is being implemented to enhance the system's functionality and performance. During this downtime, services such as PNR inquiry, EDR (Exceptional Data Report), Delhi PRS operations, and online ticket booking or cancellation facilities will be unavailable. The PRS system enables passengers to book tickets from any part of the country, thereby eliminating the need to stand in long queues. Consequently, this temporary shutdown is intended to further improve the convenience and experience of passengers.

March 26, 2026 (Night) – From 23:45 hrs
March 27, 2026 (Morning) – Until 04:45 hrs
