Southern Railway has released a list of the revised timings. Therefore, be sure to check the new schedule for your station before setting out on your journey to avoid missing the train.

**Timings for both trains to change from October 7**
According to Southern Railway, South Western Railway has revised the timings of certain express trains due to operational reasons. This change applies to journeys commencing on or after October 7, 2026. The affected trains include Train No. 16021 Dr. MGR Chennai Central–Ashokapuram Kaveri Daily Express and Train No. 16220 Tirupati–Chamarajanagar Daily Express.

**What is the new timetable for the Kaveri Express?**
The timings for the Kaveri Daily Express have been revised at seven stations.

At Kuppam, the train will now arrive at 1:19 AM and depart at 1:20 AM; the current timings are 1:28/1:29 AM.
At Bangarapet, the new timings will be 1:45/1:47 AM, whereas previously they were 1:56/1:58 AM. At Whitefield, the train will arrive and depart at 2:23/2:24 AM; the current timings are 2:33/2:34 AM.
At Krishnarajapuram, the new timings will be 2:33/2:35 AM; previously, they were 2:43/2:45 AM. At Bengaluru East, the train will arrive and depart at 2:47/2:48 AM, compared to the current timings of 2:57/2:58 AM.
At Bengaluru Cantt, the new timings will be 2:58/3:00 AM; currently, the train arrives and departs at 3:08/3:09 AM. At KSR Bengaluru, the train will now arrive at 3:45 and depart at 3:55; the current timings are 3:50/4:00.

**No changes between Kengeri and Ashokapuram**
There is also some relief for passengers of the Kaveri Express; the train's timings between Kengeri and Ashokapuram remain unchanged.

**Tirupati-Chamarajanagar Express timings also revised**
The timings for Train No. 16220 Tirupati-Chamarajanagar Daily Express will change at several stations. Starting October 7, the new timings will be 1:18/1:19 at Patchur, 1:47/1:48 at Kuppam, 1:34/1:35 at Mulanur, and 2:08/2:09 at Kamsamudram Halt. Additionally, the timings will be 2:37/2:38 at Tyakal, 2:23/2:25 at Bangarapet, and 2:49/2:50 at Malur.

**No timing changes at these stations**
According to the Southern Railway update, timings will remain unchanged at Whitefield (3:07/3:08), Baiyyappanahalli (3:26/3:27), Krishnarajapuram (3:19/3:20), and KSR Bengaluru (4:25/4:30). The timing at Nayandahalli will also remain 4:44/4:45.

**Slightly delayed at some stations**
At Bengaluru East, the train will now arrive/depart at 3:34/3:35 (currently 3:32/3:33). At Bengaluru Cantt, the new timing will be 3:45/3:47 (currently 3:40/3:41). Further along the route, the train will arrive at and depart from Kengeri at 4:51/4:52, Ramanagaram at 5:21/5:22, Maddur at 5:49/5:50, Bidadi at 5:09/5:10, Mandya at 6:05/6:06, and Channapatna at 5:33/5:34.

Therefore, if you are planning to travel on the Kaveri Express or the Tirupati-Chamarajanagar Express on or after October 7, be sure to check the updated timings for your boarding and deboarding stations when booking your tickets.
