How to update PAN online
If you want to update your PAN online, then follow these steps:
First of all, go to the official website of NSDL (Protean eGov) or UTIITSL.
Select the "Changes/Correction in PAN" option.
Fill in basic information like PAN number, name, date of birth, and email.
After this, a 15-digit token number will be generated.
Now select the details you want to change and fill in the correct information.
Upload the required documents like identity card, address proof, proof of date of birth, photo, and signature.
Pay the fee online and submit the form.
Finally, download the acknowledgement slip. With this, you can track the status of the update later.
Offline process to update PAN
Fill the form named "Request for New PAN Card or/and Changes or Correction in PAN Data" and submit it at the nearest PAN center. Along with this, it is necessary to attach proof of identity, address, date of birth, and old PAN card. After paying the fee, you get an acknowledgement slip through which you can track your update.

E-PAN only (in PDF format): Rs. 101 (including GST) for those living in India, Rs. 1018 for those living abroad
Physical PAN card: Rs. 110 for those living in India, and Rs. 1020 for those living abroad
If you want to make changes to your photo, signature, or other biometrics, then the fee may change slightly.
In how many days will you get the updated PAN card?
After submitting all the documents correctly, usually a new or updated PAN card is received within 15 to 20 working days. If any document is missing or the information is incomplete, then the process may take a little more time.
What is the difference between e-PAN and a physical card?
If you have chosen a physical PAN card, then e-PAN will be automatically sent to you by email. But if you have selected only e-PAN, then you will not get a physical card.
