We have told you many times through our articles that different documents are required for different works in India, the PAN card which is necessary for various banking and tax-related activities, and the Aadhar card which is a necessary document for government and non-government works, many times there are many types of discrepancies in making these documents, especially in the name, if you also have a mistake in the name in your Aadhar card and PAN card, then correct it like this-
Online Method:
Visit the official website of the Income Tax Department:
Visit www.incometaxindia.gov.in and log in using your PAN number.
Go to the Repair option:
After logging in, look for the Improvements section.
Provide the required information:
Enter the required details correctly.
Upload supporting documents:
You need to upload documents validating the correct name (e.g.,
Pay the Correction Fee:
A fee of Rs 106 is applicable for the correction process. This fee has to be paid online.
Submit the form:
After payment, submit the correction form electronically.
Download the receipt:
After submission, download the receipt for future reference.
Check Status:
Monitor your PAN card correction status using the receipt.
Get Updated PAN Card:
Expect the corrected PAN card to reach your registered address within 15 to 30
Offline method:
Visit Common Service Centre ( CSC)
If unable to make corrections online, visit your nearest CSC
Fill out the correction form:
Obtain and complete the correction form given at the CSC.
Attach supporting documents:
Include photocopies of documents like your Aadhaar card.
Pay the Correction Fee:
Pay the required fee at the CSC.
Submit your application:
Submit your application form and documents to the CSC
Wait for processing:
CSC will process your application, and your updated PAN card will be sent to your registered address or made available for collection.
