Which branches can apply?
This internship is divided into two main categories:
Undergraduate (B.Tech): Students in the 7th or 8th semester (final year) of B.Tech are eligible to apply. Eligible branches include Computer Science (CSE), AI-ML, Cyber Security, Electronics (ECE), Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, and Aeronautical engineering.
Postgraduate (M.Tech/M.Sc.): Students in the second year of M.Tech or M.Sc. are eligible. This applies to various specialized branches such as Physics, Chemistry, VLSI, Robotics, Thermal Engineering, and Mechatronics.
What are the eligibility criteria?
Candidates must be Indian citizens. The student must be pursuing studies at a recognized (AICTE/UGC approved) college.
A minimum of 75% marks or an equivalent CGPA in academics is mandatory.
This opportunity is exclusively for meritorious students recommended by their college Principal or Head of Department (HOD).
Stipend and Internship Duration
This internship (DRDO RCI Internship) will last for a minimum of 6 months. All selected students will receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000.
Selection Process
There is no written examination for the selection process.
Initially, your application form, academic marks, and college referral letter will be scrutinized.
Subsequently, students will be shortlisted based on merit (CGPA) or an online interview/interaction.
Finally, document verification will take place. Successful candidates will be informed via email. This internship will be conducted entirely in offline mode in Hyderabad.
