A total of 37 vacancies—specifically for Education and Stress Counsellors and Motor Mechanics—are to be filled. Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹81,000, in accordance with the 7th Pay Commission. This ITBP recruitment drive covers two categories of Head Constable posts: 16 vacancies for Head Constable (Education and Stress Counsellor) and 21 vacancies for Head Constable (Motor Mechanic), making a total of 37 posts.

What are the eligibility criteria for each post?

For the Education and Stress Counsellor post, candidates must hold a degree from a recognized university with Psychology as a subject. Additionally, candidates possessing a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Bachelor of Teaching degree are eligible to apply. The age limit for this post is 20 to 25 years. For the Motor Mechanic post, candidates must have passed Class 12. Furthermore, an ITI certificate in the relevant trade along with three years of practical experience, or a three-year diploma in Automobile Engineering, is required. The age limit for this post is 18 to 25 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation as per the rules.

Selection Process: From Written Exam to Physical Test

Candidates for the Head Constable recruitment must undergo several stages of the selection process. These include the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), written examination, practical test, and document verification. A medical examination will follow. The written examination will consist of objective-type questions worth 100 marks. For the post of Motor Mechanic, the questions in the written examination will be at the Class 12 level. Once the online admit card is issued, the candidate’s candidature will remain provisional until final selection and the verification of original documents.

What is the application fee?

Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹100 for this recruitment. However, SC candidates and ex-servicemen are exempted from the fee. Fee payments will be accepted only through online modes.
