Eligibility for RMS CET 2026

Candidates applying for admission to Class 6 must have either passed Class 5 or be currently enrolled in Class 5. However, it is mandatory for them to have successfully completed Class 5 before the date of admission to the Rashtriya Military School. For admission to Class 9, candidates must have passed Class 8 from a government or recognized school prior to the date of admission. Furthermore, candidates applying for Class 9 must possess a proficiency in English, as the medium of instruction at Rashtriya Military Schools is English.

Age Limit for RMS CET 2026

An age limit has been established for admission to Classes 6 and 9 at Rashtriya Military Schools. Candidates must be between 10 and 16 years of age, with the age calculation based on the date of March 31, 2027. For admission to Class 6, a student must have been born between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2016. For admission to Class 9, a student must have been born between April 1, 2012, and March 31, 2014.

What is the application fee?

Candidates are required to pay an application fee based on their category. Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and OBC-NCL categories must pay an application fee of ₹1,000. Candidates from the SC/ST categories, as well as dependents of martyrs (those who died in war), are required to pay a fee of ₹750.
