Only these women can benefit from the Lakhpati Didi Yojana; learn how to apply.

Lakhpati Didi Yojana: Which women are eligible for the Lakhpati Didi Yojana? Find out the eligibility criteria for the scheme. How to apply online or offline.

Lakhpati Didi Yojana: Several schemes in India aim to empower women financially, and the Lakhpati Didi Yojana is one of them. Launched in 2023, its goal is to help women start their own businesses, increase their income, and achieve financial independence. Women participating in this scheme receive interest-free loans of up to ₹5 lakh.

With this loan, they can start a new business or expand an existing one. Importantly, the scheme is only for women who are economically disadvantaged and unable to progress despite their potential due to a lack of proper support. This scheme has increased the income of many women and allowed them to become self-reliant. Learn how to apply for the scheme.

Which women are eligible?

The Lakhpati Didi Yojana benefits only women between the ages of 18 and 50 who are members of a Self-Help Group (SHG). This scheme directly targets women from small villages, towns, or economically weaker families. After joining an SHG, they receive skill training. This allows them to learn skills such as tailoring, screen printing, food processing, dairy farming, and handicrafts to increase their income.

After completing the skill training, women prepare their business plans, and based on this, they receive an interest-free loan of up to ₹5 lakh. To avail of this scheme, basic documents such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, bank passbook, an income certificate, and photograph are required.

What is the application process?

The application process for this scheme is simple. First, the woman must join a recognized Self-Help Group. After joining the SHG, she must complete the skill training. This helps the woman understand her business and prepare to expand it. The woman then needs to create a business plan, outlining how the loan will be used and how it will increase her income.

The application can be submitted online. This involves filling out a form on the Ministry of Rural Development's website. Alternatively, applicants can submit the form and supporting documents offline at the SHG (Self-Help Group) office, the Rural Development Department, or a nearby bank. Once the documents are complete, the application is processed, and upon approval, the loan is disbursed.
