One India-One Ticket: Under 'One India-One Ticket', Namo Bharat and Delhi Metro tickets will be booked together..
There is big news for the passengers traveling in Namo Bharat and Delhi Metro. An integrated QR-ticketing system of NCRTC and DMRC has been launched. Now passengers will be able to book tickets for Namo Bharat and Metro services simultaneously. National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officially launched their integrated QR-ticketing system on Monday. This initiative aims to make traveling in Delhi-NCR more easy and convenient.
Managing Director of NCRTC, Shalabh Goyal, and Managing Director of DMRC, Dr. Vikas Kumar officially launched this integrated ticketing system by booking tickets for Namo Bharat and Delhi Metro on the mobile app.
Booking will be done through 'RRTS Connect' app.
He expressed confidence that this digital integration will not only make the journey easier for the passengers but will also encourage the use of public transport in the National Capital Region. Passengers can now book QR code tickets for Delhi Metro through the 'RRTS Connect app and QR code tickets for NaMo Bharat through the 'DMRC Momentum 2.0 app. This will enable hassle-free ticketing in both RRTS and Delhi Metro.
The ticketing process will be easier for passengers.
The integration of IRCTC and DMRC networks will be further strengthened with this newly launched QR-ticketing system and will ensure a seamless travel experience in NCR. Both transport systems are being linked under multi-modal integration. In line with the government's 'One India-One Ticket' initiative, which aims to make inter-modal travel as convenient as possible for passengers, this initiative will simplify the ticketing process.
Digital transactions will get a boost.
By integrating NaMo Bharat and Metro travel options into a single digital platform, this initiative will significantly enhance connectivity for millions of passengers in NCR. NCRTC is playing a vital role in shaping the transport landscape of the region with the implementation of the RRTS project. This integration is expected to reduce ticket queues at stations of both NaMo Bharat and Delhi Metro transport systems, save valuable time for passengers, promote digital transactions, and provide passengers a more seamless and time-efficient travel experience.
NCRTC has also signed a similar agreement with IRCTC, under which passengers can book NaMo Bharat train tickets along with Indian Railways train tickets through the IRCTC platform. This will not only make it easier for passengers to get tickets but will also save their time.
