TRAI Warning: If you are also getting calls or messages that earn thousands of rupees every month by installing mobile towers at your home or land, then be careful.

TRAI Warning: If you are also getting calls or messages that earn thousands of rupees every month by installing mobile towers at your home or land, then be careful. TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has issued a warning regarding such fake offers. According to TRAI, some fraudsters are giving tempting offers to people by claiming to be associated with big telecom companies like Airtel, Jio, BSNL or Vi. They claim that installing a mobile tower on your land will earn fixed income every month but in reality it is an organized fraud.
Information posted on X
TRAI posted from its official X (earlier Twitter) account that neither TRAI issues NOC for installing any tower nor charges any fee. These calls and SMS are completely fake and are being made with the intention of cheating people. The trap of these thugs is not limited to phone calls only, they are also trying to trap people through newspapers and other publicity media. Many times they collect money from people by showing fake documents and fake NOC like registration fees, environmental clearance, processing charges etc.

Fraud happened in Maharashtra
Recently, a 55-year-old man in Jalgaon, Maharashtra was duped of about Rs 34.63 lakh by such a gang. He was promised that he would earn Rs 20,000 per month on getting a tower installed. But in reality, he was cheated through fake certificates and fake seals of reputed departments.
