NSUI's strong protest in Delhi regarding period leave, know which universities already have this facility

NSUI protested strongly in Delhi University, demanding 12 12-day period leave for girl students every semester. This facility is already available in many universities.
A different atmosphere was seen in the Arts Faculty campus of Delhi University from 10 am today. A large number of girl students and boys gathered under the banner of the National Student Union (NSUI). There were placards, banners, and posters in their hands.
Why is the protest happening?
NSUI says that the provision of period leave for girl students already exists in many universities of the country, but this facility has not been given yet in Delhi University and many other big institutions. The organization demands that a provision of at least 12 period leaves should be made in every semester, so that the girl students do not have to fear unnecessary stress, absence, and loss of marks during those days.
The students say that it is not easy to attend classes amid physical pain, fatigue, and discomfort during periods. In such a situation, this leave should not be a special facility but a basic right.
This is the demand
NSUI Delhi has marched in Delhi University and demanded 12 days of period leave for all the girl students. Women deserve respect, health, and safety - and we will keep moving forward until every campus ensures this. NSUI has said that if their demands are not heeded, then this movement will intensify.
Which universities already have the provision?
Punjab University, Chandigarh - Maximum 4 days of period leave in every semester.
All state universities of Kerala - 2% relaxation in attendance, i.e. instead of 75% minimum attendance, 73% is also valid.
Guwahati University (Assam) - 2% relaxation in attendance for girl students.
NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad - Special period leave.
Tezpur University (Assam) – Concession in attendance and inclusion of periods for medical reasons.
