NSUI activists sought to amplify the voices of students by marching from Indira Bhawan to Shiksha Sadan, the CBSE headquarters. A heavy police force was deployed outside the CBSE office throughout the duration of the protest. Despite this, the activists registered their dissent peacefully and reiterated their demand for the withdrawal of the OSM policy.
Allegations of Increased Mental Pressure on Students
Activists participating in the protest stated that the OSM system is creating a state of bewilderment among millions of students and parents. They allege that this policy is fostering confusion regarding the examination system and is placing unnecessary mental pressure on students.
Jakhar: Stop Experimenting with Students' Futures
NSUI National President Vinod Jakhar asserted that the CBSE must refrain from conducting any form of experimentation with the future of students. Describing the OSM system as entirely anti-student, he noted that it has created a climate of anxiety and confusion among students and parents across the country. He stated that students require a transparent and student-friendly examination system, not a framework that exacerbates mental stress. The NSUI categorically rejects this policy and demands its immediate withdrawal. Issuing a warning, Vinod Jakhar stated that if the CBSE fails to take the students' concerns seriously, the NSUI will further intensify its agitation at the national level in the coming days.
