NSP Scholarship 2025: There is big news for school and college students across the country. The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) of the Government of India has started the online application process for scholarship schemes for the academic year 2025-26. Students can apply by visiting scholarships.gov.in.

Which scholarships are available?

There are many types of scholarships offered through NSP:

Pre-Matric Scholarship: For students from class 1 to 10

Post-Matric Scholarship: For students above class 11

Merit Based Scholarship: For students securing good marks

Means Based Scholarship: For economically weaker students

Minority Scholarship: For Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist and Parsi students

Central Sector Scholarship: For undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students

State Specific Schemes: Scholarship schemes of various states

Eligibility Criteria

Family income should be maximum Rs 2.5 lakh per annum

Previous exam should have been successfully passed

Aadhaar Card is mandatory

Reserved category students will have to provide caste certificate

Face Complete the identification and generate OTR ID

What is NSP?

NSP is a digital portal of the Government of India, which simplifies the entire scholarship process. From here students can apply, select scheme and track status without any fee. The scholarship amount is sent directly to the bank account through DBT.
