What was the condition of the stock market on Monday?
On Monday, i.e. 24 February, the stock market saw a decline. The BSE Sensex closed 856.65 points lower at 74,454.41, while the Nifty50 closed 242.55 points lower at 22,553.35. Talking about the 50 stocks of Nifty50, 38 of these stocks remained in the red. Big stocks like Wipro, HCL Tech, TCS, and Infosys witnessed a decline. At the same time, stocks like Mahindra & Mahindra, Dr. Reddy's Lab, and Nestle India rose.
Small and midcap stocks also fell.

April: Shri Mahavir Jayanti (10 April, Thursday), Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti (14 April, Monday) and Good Friday (18 April, Friday).
May: Maharashtra Day (1 May, Thursday).
August: Independence Day (15 August, Friday) and Ganesh Chaturthi (27 August, Wednesday).
October: Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti/Dussehra (2 October, Thursday), Diwali Laxmi Pujan (21 October, Tuesday) and Diwali-Balipratipada (22 October, Wednesday).
November: Prakash Parv Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji (5 November, Wednesday).
December: Christmas (25 December, Thursday).
