In this episode, WhatsApp is now bringing a feature that will organize message replies into threads. This will allow users to see all the answers related to a particular message in one place and it will be easier to understand the entire conversation.

How will this feature work?

WABetaInfo, which keeps an eye on the new features of WhatsApp, has shared its screenshots. These pictures show that now every reply will be added as a thread directly below the original message. That is, all the answers related to the same message will appear together in a sequential manner, making it easier to follow the conversation. Users will see a new reply indicator in the message bubble. It will tell how many replies have come on that message. Just by tapping on this indicator, the entire thread will open and all the replies will be visible simultaneously.

How to add new replies?

In this feature, users can add a new reply within the thread if they want. As soon as a new reply is written, it will automatically be added to the same thread. Also, it will be possible to select a different message within the thread and reply to it. It is believed that it can be named “Follow-up reply”, although this tag is not yet available to all testers.

Why is this feature special?

Till now, in long chats, one had to scroll through the entire conversation to find the answers related to a single message. But with this new thread system, the conversation will remain in logical and timely order. The advantage of this will be that even if a user joins the conversation late, he will be able to understand the entire discussion quickly by opening the thread directly. If a message has received a lot of replies and they are lost in the other messages, then this thread feature will separate the entire conversation. This means that now it will not be difficult to find a reply in a long chat.
