Noida School Hours Revised Amid Heatwave; New Timings Announced for Noida & Greater Noida
Noida School Timing Change: In view of the severe heat and heatwave conditions, the timings for all schools in Noida and Greater Noida have been revised. Classes will now be held from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Taking into account the rising temperatures in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district, the administration has taken a significant decision. With the health and well-being of children in mind, the operating hours for all schools across Noida and Greater Noida have been altered.
Due to the continuously escalating heat and persistent heatwave conditions in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district, the district administration has modified the school schedule. This new order has come into effect starting today, with the aim of shielding children from the harsh sunlight and hot winds.
Consequently, all government and private schools within the district will now operate exclusively from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This directive encompasses schools affiliated with all educational boards, including CBSE, ICSE, and the UP Board.
The administration notes that temperatures rise significantly during the afternoon hours, posing a risk to the children's health. Prolonged exposure to such heat can be particularly detrimental, especially for younger children.
Therefore, school hours have been scheduled for the early morning to ensure that academic activities proceed smoothly while allowing children to return home in good time. This measure is also expected to provide relief to parents.
The district administration has issued strict directives to ensure the rigorous enforcement of this order. Notifications regarding this change have been dispatched to the principals of all schools as well as to the relevant officials.
Furthermore, the administration has appealed to parents to take necessary precautions—such as ensuring their children carry water and wear hats—to protect them from the heat. Parents are also urged to strictly adhere to the new school timings.
