Noida International Airport Set to Set a Record for Connectivity! Multiple States to be Linked via Road, Rail, and Metro...
Jewar Airport: Poised to become the country's largest international airport, Noida International Airport is now also rapidly advancing towards integrating with the nation's finest connectivity network. It is being connected at both national and international levels through road, rail, metro, and high-speed rail links. Consequently, instead of traveling to Delhi to catch international flights, people across North India will now opt for Jewar Airport.
Regional Connectivity to be Strengthened
The airport has been directly linked to the Yamuna Expressway, where a dedicated interchange is already operational. Furthermore, the integration of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (Ballabhgarh Link) ensures direct and rapid access from South Haryana and Western India. In the near future, regional connectivity is set to be further bolstered through the Ganga Expressway and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
Direct Routes from Ghaziabad, Meerut, Palwal, and Sonipat
The interchange for the Eastern Peripheral Expressway is currently under construction; once completed, it will provide direct access from Ghaziabad, Meerut, Palwal, and Sonipat. Meanwhile, the North and East access roads—being developed specifically for industrial and air cargo traffic—are nearing completion. Plans are also in place to alleviate local traffic congestion by connecting the 60-meter-wide service road in Sector-28 directly to the Yamuna Expressway.
Plans Ready for Rail Connectivity
Significant progress is also being made regarding rail and rapid rail connectivity. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project—which aims to connect Delhi with Jewar Airport—has already been submitted to the Central Government. Additionally, plans are being formulated to establish connectivity via the Chola-Rundhi railway line. The provision for a station at the Jewar terminal on the proposed Delhi-Varanasi High-Speed Rail line will further enhance the unique significance of this airport.
Inter-state Bus Services to Commence
To bolster public transportation infrastructure, an agreement has been signed with the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC). Under this initiative, inter-state bus services will be launched connecting the airport with various regions across Uttar Pradesh, as well as the neighboring states of Uttarakhand, Haryana, Delhi, and Rajasthan. Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) will jointly operate a fleet of 500 electric buses, providing eco-friendly "last-mile connectivity" to the airport.
Provision for State-of-the-Art Cab Services
To ensure passenger convenience, arrangements are also being made for state-of-the-art cab services. An "NIA-branded" cab service, operated by Mahindra Logistics, is set to launch, offering features such as enhanced safety, punctuality, and digital payment options. Additionally, companies such as Uber, Rapido, Ola, and MakeMyTrip will provide on-demand cab services.
Facilities such as Car Rental Services
Under the car rental services initiative, passengers will have the option to rent vehicles for either self-driving or with a chauffeur, making their travel experience even more convenient. With all these initiatives in place, Jewar Airport is rapidly advancing toward becoming a premier aviation hub—not just for North India, but for the entire country—where every mode of connectivity will be seamlessly integrated.
Jewar Airport to be Connected at National and International Levels
Jewar Airport is being connected at both national and international levels through a network of roads, rail, metro, and high-speed rail links. Consequently, there will no longer be a sole reliance on Delhi for catching international flights. Residents of North India and neighboring states will now be able to avail themselves of this facility directly from Jewar Airport. This will also help alleviate the pressure currently placed on Delhi Airport, as people previously had to travel to Delhi to board international flights. With the availability of this facility at Noida International Airport, convenience will be significantly enhanced for people across several states.
