If you, too, find yourself scrambling to locate all your medical reports every time you visit a doctor, then the ABHA ID (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) is an incredibly useful tool for you. Through this system, you can securely store all your medical reports digitally in one centralized location and instantly share them with a doctor whenever needed. Read on to discover the simple, step-by-step process for creating one online.

It is a common occurrence during medical emergencies that old health reports, prescriptions, or essential test-related documents go missing. This lack of a complete medical history during treatment can significantly complicate the care process. In such critical moments, the ABHA ID (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) proves to be invaluable. The ABHA ID functions as a digital health identity, keeping all your medical records stored securely and in an organized manner within a single repository. Consequently, you no longer need to physically carry bulky medical files with you every time you visit a hospital or consult a doctor. With just a single click on your smartphone, your entire health history can be instantly presented to your doctor.

What is an ABHA ID?

The ABHA ID acts as a smart digital health locker where all your medical information remains secure and can be easily shared whenever required.
It is a unique, 14-digit health ID that serves as a central repository for all your medical records. This ensures that your health data is easily accessible to any hospital or doctor across the country.
The primary benefit of this system is that it eliminates the need to undergo the same diagnostic tests repeatedly, thereby saving time and facilitating more effective medical treatment.

Who Can Create an ABHA ID?

  • All Indian citizens are eligible to create an ABHA ID.
  • If you are 18 years of age or older, you can create the ID for yourself.
  • If the beneficiary is a minor child, their parents or guardians can create the ABHA ID on their behalf.
  • An ABHA ID can also be created for a newborn baby.
  • Essentially, anyone who wishes to maintain their medical information in a digital format is eligible to apply for one.
