Nitish Kumar Expands Bihar Unemployment Scheme: Graduate Youths to Get ₹1,000 Monthly Support for Two Years

The Bihar government has announced another major relief measure for unemployed youths. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expanded the scope of the Mukhyamantri Nischay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana (MNSSBY), under which graduates will now also receive unemployment allowance. From now on, young men and women holding a degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce, who are struggling to find a job, will get ₹1,000 per month for up to two years.

“I am pleased to inform you that under the state government’s Saat Nischay program, the Mukhyamantri Nischay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana has been expanded. Along with intermediate pass youth, unemployed graduates in Arts, Science, and Commerce will also receive financial assistance.”

Who Can Avail the Scheme?

• The applicant must be a resident of Bihar.

• Age should be between 20 and 25 years.

• The applicant should not be running any business venture or receiving other government financial assistance.

• The day the applicant secures a job, the allowance will automatically stop.

• The support will continue for up to two years or until the youth finds a job, whichever comes first.
