The simple and straightforward goal of this scheme is to provide direct financial assistance to at least one woman from every family of Bihar to start employment or small business of their choice. One woman from all the families of the state will get the benefit of this scheme.

The government has designed a very simple and effective model to provide help:

First installment

Under the scheme, all eligible women will be given an amount of Rs 10,000 as the first installment to start their work.

Money directly in the account

This money will be transferred directly to the bank account of women and it will be started from September 2025 this year itself.

Additional assistance up to Rs 2 lakh

This is the most powerful aspect of this scheme. When the woman starts her employment, after 6 months the government will assess her work. If needed, she can also be given additional assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh to expand her work further.

How to apply and who will help?

The government has said that the process of taking applications from interested women will be started very soon. The Rural Development Department will be responsible for implementing this scheme and deciding its entire process. For urban areas, the Department of Urban Development and Housing will also cooperate in this.

There will be no worry about sales, the government will create a market

The government will not stop at just giving money, but will also help in selling the products made by women.

Development of Haat Bazaar: From village to city in the state, special Haat markets will be developed for the sale of women's products, so that they can get a good market for their goods.
