The new telecom law has come into force in the country. According to the new rules, only 9 SIMs will be allowed on a person's Aadhaar card (How Many SIM Cards On Your Aadhaar). If this does not happen, there is a provision of fines and punishment along with violation of the rules.

50 thousand - 2 lakh rupees will have to be paid as a fine
If more than 9 SIM cards are found active on an Aadhaar card, then there is a fine of Rs 50,000 for first-time offenders and Rs 2 lakh for repeat offenders.

There is a provision of a fine of up to Rs 50 lakh and three years imprisonment for obtaining a SIM card through fraud.

How many SIMs are in your name
Since the implementation of the new law, it has become even more important that you also keep information about the total active SIMs taken on your Aadhaar card.

However, there is no need to visit any office to do this. You can get information about all the SIMs taken in your name with the help of a phone or laptop while sitting at home.

How to check how many SIMs are in your name
First of all, you have to visit the Sanchar Saathi portal (https://sancharsaathi.gov.in/).

Now scroll down and go to Know Your Mobile Connections in Citizen Centric Services.

Here you have to provide your mobile number details.

You have to fill in the captcha code.

Now an OTP will be sent to your phone number.

You have to share the OTP.

Now a new page will open on your device screen.

On this page, you will see the number 1,2,3 written in front of the Mobile numbers registered in your name.

Along with this, the numbers used in your name will appear as 9198xxxx9939.
