Many big changes (New Rules 1 July 2025) are going to happen across the country from 1 July 2025 i.e. next month. These can have a direct impact on your pocket. These changes are related to the common man. These changes include PAN cards, railway tickets, FD or loan interest rate, credit cards, and LPG cylinders.

Railway tickets will be expensive.

The common man has got a big shock from the railways. The Railway Department has decided to increase the ticket price of both non-AC and AC classes. Railways has increased the ticket price from sleeper to AC class coaches. One paisa for non-AC and two paisa for AC class have been increased.

We have estimated the increase according to the distance from Delhi to some cities below. If your city is not included in the list given below, then you can also estimate the distance with the help of the formula.

Calculation formula
Sleeper class

Distance x 0.01= Increase in fare

AC class

Distance x 0.02= Increase in fare

(Note:- The value of 1 paisa is 0.01 in rupees.)

Current and new fares from Delhi to major cities

Train route Current fare New fare
Sleeper Third AC Sleeper Third AC
Delhi to Patna ₹510 ₹1350 ₹519.8 ₹1369.6
Delhi to Prayagraj ₹390 ₹1020 ₹396.35 ₹1032.7

An Aadhaar card will be mandatory for a PAN Card.

A big change is also going to happen in PAN cards from July 1. According to media reports, now it will be mandatory to have an Aadhaar card to make a PAN card. On the other hand, if your PAN card is not linked to your Aadhaar card, then you can link your PAN card to your Aadhaar card till 31 December 2025.

According to media reports, the department found that the same person has multiple PAN cards or the government is being fooled while making tax payments by making a PAN card in the name of another person.

Withdrawing cash from ICICI ATM will be expensive.

If you use an ICICI ATM to withdraw cash, then now it can cost you dearly. From July 1, if cash is withdrawn from ICICI ATM beyond the limit, then you will have to pay a charge of Rs 23 per transaction. In this ATM, you will get 5 transactions free, which means that no charge will have to be paid in it. However, in metro cities, this limit is 3 transactions.

HDFC credit cards will be expensive
If you use an HDFC credit card, then using it is going to be expensive for you now. If HDFC credit card payment is made through third-party apps like Paytm, Phone Pay, etc., then a 1 percent charge will have to be paid.

Along with this, you will have to pay an extra fee for making utility bill payments.

Change in LPG cylinder prices.
On the first of every month, the gas agency company revises the prices of LPG cylinders. These include domestic and commercial cylinders.
