This is big news for millions of students dreaming of pursuing medical studies. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a crucial advisory for NEET UG 2026. The advisory clearly states that if candidates' essential documents are not correct and updated, they may be barred from the examination. Therefore, it is extremely important to correct all necessary information before applying.

What NTA said about the Aadhaar Card

The NTA has advised candidates to first ensure that their Aadhaar card information is correct. According to the agency, the candidate's Aadhaar should be completely valid and updated. The name, date of birth, gender, photo, address, and biometric details in the Aadhaar card must be correct. If any of this information is found to be incorrect, it may cause problems during registration or admission later on.

Incorrect Information May Lead to Form Rejection

The NTA has clarified that if any discrepancy is found between the information filled in the application form and the documents, the NEET UG 2026 form may be rejected. Candidates can update their information online at uidai.gov.in or by visiting a nearby Aadhaar service center. Having correct information will prevent problems during document verification and counseling.

Special Instructions for Differently-Abled Candidates

Differently-abled candidates are advised to use their UDID card only if it is valid and renewed. Using an old or expired UDID card may cause problems during verification and may even lead to the cancellation of the application.

Important Note Regarding Category Certificates

Students applying under the reserved categories SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and EWS must ensure that their category certificate is completely valid. OBC-NCL and EWS certificates should be issued according to the prescribed rules and within the stipulated date. It is essential to keep all certificates updated before applying.

When will the exam be held?

Based on the trends of previous years, the NEET UG exam is usually conducted in the month of May.  Based on this, it is expected that NEET UG 2026 will also be held in May. However, the final date will be announced soon by the NTA.
