NEET Re-Exam to be Conducted on June 21
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that the NEET UG 2026 re-exam will be conducted on June 21. The examination will run from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM. This time, students will also be allotted an additional 15 minutes. This extra time is being provided to accommodate necessary formalities at the examination center, such as biometric verification, signature verification, and photo verification.
New Admit Cards to be Issued
The NTA will issue new admit cards for the re-exam. Students will be able to download their new admit cards via the official website starting June 14. Students have been advised to keep new passport-sized and postcard-sized photographs ready in advance to avoid any inconvenience at the time of the examination.
Focus on MCQ Practice During Preparation
According to experts, students should now focus on solving as many MCQs as possible rather than merely studying theory. Solving questions continuously improves time management skills and boosts confidence for the examination. Educators state that in these final days, high-volume MCQ practice proves to be the most effective strategy.

Educators believe that students should not view the May 3rd examination as a failure. Instead, they should treat it as a comprehensive mock test and use it to analyze their weaknesses. Special attention must now be directed toward those topics where errors occurred or where an excessive amount of time was consumed. Many students, in their haste, mark incorrect answers or overlook crucial keywords embedded within the questions. NEET Exam May Go Online Starting in 2027
According to reports, the Ministry of Education is considering conducting the NEET examination in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode in the future. The primary objective behind this move is to eliminate issues related to paper leaks and OMR sheets. An online examination format could also offer students the flexibility to modify their answers, thereby reducing the likelihood of errors.
Exam City Can Be Changed Until May 21
The NTA has also provided students with the facility to change their designated examination center city. Candidates may modify their choice of exam city until May 21; no additional fee will be charged for availing this facility. This provision is being hailed as a relief for students who, for various reasons, are unable to appear for the examination in their current city of residence.

Next, log in by entering your Application Number and Password.
Now, select your preferred new exam city from the available options.
Review all the details carefully, and then click on "Submit."
Finally, download the confirmation page and keep a printout of it safe for your records.
