The Medical Counselling Committee has activated the registration reset option, allowing candidates to correct details submitted during the registration process.

According to the MCC notice dated August 7, this facility will be available until 11:00 AM on August 12, 2026. Additionally, the MCC has released the seat matrix for Round 1 of the NEET Counselling 2026, detailing 31,728 seats across MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses. Candidates who made errors during registration are advised to use the reset option to rectify their information within the stipulated timeframe.

Who is the reset option for?

This MCC option is intended for candidates who entered incorrect information or mistakenly selected the wrong option during the Round 1 registration process. It allows candidates to unlock the registration data, correct wrongly entered details, change erroneously selected options, and review their information. After making corrections, candidates can submit the revised details on the MCC portal.

Seat matrix released for Round 1: 31,728 seats

The MCC has released the seat matrix for MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses for Round 1 of the NEET UG 2026 counselling. A total of 31,728 seats are included across these three courses, comprising 27,292 MBBS seats, 4,068 BDS seats, and 328 BSc Nursing seats.

What information will the seat matrix provide? The MCC seat matrix provides candidates with information regarding seats across various colleges and courses. It details seat availability based on state, institution, course, and applicable quotas. The matrix lists categories such as All India, Open Seat Quota, NRI, Self-Finance Merit seats, and ESI, among others.
