NCMC cards to be used across all metro systems in the country! Facility to launch in Delhi, Gurugram, and Jaipur metros from August 15..
If you hold a Noida Metro NCMC card, there is great news for you. This card will now work not only on the Noida Metro and Delhi Metro but also on metro systems across the country, including the Gurugram Metro and Jaipur Metro. Essentially, a major convenience is being introduced for Noida Metro commuters. The National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) will allow travel on the Noida Metro as well as on other metro and public transport systems nationwide where the NCMC facility is available. This service will launch on August 15.
This means passengers will no longer need to carry multiple cards for metro travel in different cities. The NCMC card can be used on metro services in cities like Delhi, Gurugram, and Jaipur, wherever the card is accepted.
A key feature of this service is that NCMC cards used for Delhi Metro travel will also be valid on the Noida Metro. In other words, if a passenger already possesses a valid NCMC card, they can use it to travel on the Noida Metro as well.
**Use in Public Transport Beyond Metro**
Under the NCMC initiative, facilities for the availability and distribution of NCMC cards will be provided at Noida Metro stations, along with card-recharging services. The primary benefit of the NCMC card is that passengers can use a single card across various locations. Beyond the Noida Metro, it can be used on other metro rail services and public transport modes—such as city bus services—that accept the NCMC card. This eliminates the hassle of repeatedly purchasing separate tickets or acquiring different transport cards, making travel much easier for passengers.
To enhance passenger convenience, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is launching several new services, including the NCMC facility, on the occasion of Independence Day. The NCMC card service will come into effect on August 15. NMRC states that the initiative aims to provide passengers with a more convenient and technology-driven travel experience.
**Ticket Generation via WhatsApp to Launch**
Alongside the NCMC card, NMRC is also introducing a facility for passengers to generate tickets via WhatsApp. Passengers will be able to purchase tickets via WhatsApp and enter the metro using QR codes. Additionally, a Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) is being introduced at stations, enabling passengers to receive information regarding train arrivals and departures.
