The Ghaziabad Namo Bharat station has the largest four-wheeler parking facility on the corridor. 370 cars and 632 two-wheelers can be parked simultaneously.

A major step has been taken to make the Namo Bharat service, running from Delhi to Meerut, more convenient for passengers. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has ensured parking for over 8,000 vehicles at various stations along the corridor. The clear objective is to encourage people to arrive at the station in their private vehicles and continue their journey by fast, safe, and timely public transport.

Largest Parking Facility at Ghaziabad Station

The Ghaziabad Namo Bharat station has the largest four-wheeler parking facility on the corridor. 370 cars and 632 two-wheelers can be parked simultaneously. This station is located on the Delhi-Meerut Road, and the nearby Shaheed Sthal Metro Station strengthens multi-modal connectivity.

Sahibabad station has parking space for 76 cars and 223 two-wheelers. Guldhar station, located near Rajnagar Extension, can accommodate 191 cars and 848 two-wheelers.

Better Arrangements at Delhi Stations

Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat station in Delhi has parking space for 266 cars and 837 two-wheelers. This station has emerged as a major hub for multi-modal integration, with major transport hubs like Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station and Veer Hakikat Rai ISBT nearby.

Anand Vihar Namo Bharat station also has parking space for approximately 50 vehicles, providing relief to commuters from East Delhi and surrounding areas.

Extensive Parking Network in Meerut

Meerut South station has parking space for 289 four-wheelers and 854 two-wheelers. This station is located near the Partapur bypass, which also offers bus services to Haridwar and Roorkee.

Modipuram station can park over 135 cars and over 1,200 two-wheelers. Shatabdi Nagar station can accommodate approximately 120 cars and over 350 two-wheelers.

As part of the Meerut Metro, the country's fastest service running between 12 stations, parking for two-wheelers has been provided at Partapur, Rithani, Brahmapuri, MES Colony, and Daurli stations, with varying capacity.

Alternative Parking and Drop-Off Zones Where Space is Limited

Due to space constraints at some stations, passengers are also offered the option of nearby private parking. For example, for the Begumpul underground station, vehicles can be parked in the Abu Lane Market area.

Drop-off zones have been created at each station to ensure passengers' entry and exit are hassle-free and to avoid traffic jams on main roads. Passengers can easily reach the station via e-rickshaws, autos, buses, and other modes of transport.

What are the parking rates?

At stations in Uttar Pradesh, the fee for bicycles is ₹5 for 10 minutes to 6 hours. Two-wheelers are charged ₹10, and cars or SUVs are charged ₹30. For 6 to 12 hours, the fee is ₹25 for two-wheelers and ₹60 for cars or SUVs. For 12 to 16 hours, bicycles can be parked for ₹10, two-wheelers for ₹30, and cars or SUVs for ₹80. From 16 hours onwards, the fee is ₹10 for bicycles, ₹30 for two-wheelers, and ₹100 for cars or SUVs.

In Delhi, the fee for bicycles up to 6 hours is ₹5, for two-wheelers for ₹20, and for cars or SUVs for ₹50. From 16 hours onwards, the fee is ₹50 for two-wheelers and ₹100 for cars or SUVs.

For passenger convenience, the Namo Bharat Connect app provides real-time parking availability information. It also offers features like live train tracking, station navigation, last-mile connectivity options, and lost and found services. The NCRTC has partnered with services like two-wheeler rentals, bicycles, feeder buses, cabs, and autorickshaws at stations from Delhi to Meerut, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free journey for passengers from home to destination.
