UPI Wrong Payment Complaint: While making payment through UPI, many times due to a small mistake of people, money goes to the wrong account. If this happens, then immediately complain here.

UPI Wrong Payment Complaint: In today's era, the way of making payments has almost changed. There was a time when people had to pay cash for everything. But now it is not so. Now almost all payments are being made digitally. People use online payment apps to make payments. Unified Payment Interface i.e. UPI was started by NPCI in the year 2016.

India ranks first in the world in terms of digital payment. Now whether people want to buy vegetables, pay auto rickshaw fare, buy a phone, or anything else, all payments are done online through UPI. But due to this, problems also arise. Many times due to a small mistake of people, money goes to the wrong account. If this happens, complain here immediately.

What to do if money goes to the wrong account online?

If you send money to a wrong account using UPI, then first of all you can call that person and tell him that you have sent money to his account by mistake. You can also send him a screenshot regarding this. However, in such a case, the chances are very low that people return your money.

If that person refuses to return your money, then you can call RBI's toll free number 18001201740 and register a complaint. Apart from this, you can also register a complaint by visiting the Reserve Bank of India's complaint portal https://www.rbi.org.in/scripts/complaints.aspx.

Complain to payment app customer care

Apart from this, if you make payment through a payment app, like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm or any other payment app, then you have to call the customer care number of that payment app and register your complaint. You have to give him all the information related to the wrong transaction. Which includes transaction number, amount, time and all the details about the account to which the money was sent.

Complain to NPCI

Apart from this, if you want, you can also register your complaint about this by visiting the official website of National Payments Corporation of India i.e. NPCI https://www.npci.org.in/register-a-complaint. Here also you have to enter complete information from your complaint. The sooner you complain, the more chances you have of getting your money back.
