Know what is Ayushman Bharat Yojana
The full name of Ayushman Bharat Yojana is Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Under this scheme, a cashless treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh is available. In this, the government bears the cost of medicine, treatment, etc. This scheme is run by the Ministry of Health. Till now, the benefit of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme has been given to the citizens of weaker sections falling under the BPL category. But if senior citizens also come under the purview of this scheme, then they will get a huge benefit.
Registration will have to be done like this to avail the benefit
People who come under the purview of this scheme have to get themselves registered to avail of its benefits. For registration, you will have to go to your nearest Atal Seva Kendra or Jan Seva Kendra and submit photocopies of all your original documents. After this, Jan Seva Kendra will have to verify those photocopies with the original documents. After this, you will be given a registration number. After 10 to 15 days of registration, you will get a golden card from the Jan Seva Kendra. After this, you can take advantage of this scheme.
How to see the list of hospitals in your city
With the help of the Ayushman Mobile App, you can see the list of hospitals listed under the scheme. For this, first, go to the Google Play Store and install the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY app on the phone.
On opening the app, many services available on the Ayushman Yojana App will be visible. You click on Find Empanelled Hospitals from it.
After this, select the name of the state, the name of the city, and the department of the disease for which you want treatment. For example, for the treatment of lung patients, you will have to select Pulmonary.
After this, click on the search option. After this, the list of hospitals related to the state, city, and disease you have searched for will start appearing on Google Maps.
These hospitals will appear as red marks. The name and address of the hospital you click on will appear in front of you.
Apart from this, there will also be a button to call below. By tapping on it, you can also talk to the hospital directly.
