In today's digital age, mobile phones have become a very important device, without them a person cannot live a minute, and such mobile getting damaged and stolen can become a cause of trouble. But now you don't need to worry because the government has brought a solution to help you. The Sanchar Sathi portal recently launched by the government provides a means to block and find your lost or stolen phone. Let's know complete information about it-
How Sanchar Sathi works:
Accessing the portal: Visit the official website sancharsathi.gov.in.
Navigating to Citizen Centric Services: After visiting the site, find the "Citizen Centric Services" section and click on it.
Selecting the relevant option: Under Citizen Centric Services, you will find two options: one to report a lost phone and the other to know the status of your mobile connection.
Reporting a lost phone: Select the first option to report a lost or stolen phone.
Blocking your phone: Within the reporting option, you will be given three options: blocking the phone, unlocking it (if found), or checking the status of your report.
Providing details: Select the option to block the phone and provide the required information such as the lost phone number, device name, model number, location of loss, date, and time.
Providing your information: Additionally, you will need to provide your personal information as the complainant.
Verification: Complete the captcha and enter your current mobile number for verification.
Confirmation: Once you fill in the required information, submit the form. You will receive an OTP (one-time password) for further verification.
Blocking process: After confirming with the OTP, your phone number will be blocked shortly after.
