Meta AI: Just think and the text will type itself! Amazing brain-typing AI technology of Meta..

What if whatever you think gets automatically typed on the screen? It may sound like a science fiction film, but in the world of technology, it is slowly moving towards becoming a reality. Facebook (now Meta) introduced the concept of this unique brain-typing technology in 2017. The purpose of this technology is that a person can type words only with his mind, without any keyboard or screen.
How does Meta's brain-typing AI work?
This technology of Meta works by combining neuroscience and artificial intelligence (AI). It analyzes the activities of the brain and guesses which letter the person wants to type. For this, a special machine is used, which captures the magnetic signals emanating from the brain and converts them into text.
According to MIT Technology Review, this technology uses a magnetoencephalography (MEG) machine, which is capable of recording very subtle activities of the brain. However, this machine is very large and expensive, due to which its use by common people is not possible right now.
Not available to the general public right now
Even though this technology is a revolutionary step in the world of science, it may take a long time to use it in everyday life. The MEG machine weighs about 500 kg and its cost is said to be around Rs 16 crore. Apart from this, for this machine to work properly, a person has to sit completely still, because even a slight movement can mess up the data.
Meta researcher Jean-Remi King and his team are focusing on understanding the processing of language in the brain instead of bringing this technology in the form of a product. That is, at present this technology is in the research stage, but in the future, it can completely change the way of communication of humans.
