Many Trains to Remain Cancelled for Several Weeks; Check the List Before Traveling

January-February Train Cancellations: The country is currently experiencing a severe cold wave, and its impact is now clearly visible on railway operations. On the one hand, train speeds are already affected by fog and cold weather. On the other hand, large-scale railway infrastructure upgrades may further increase passenger inconvenience. In the coming days, an automatic block signaling system is to be installed on several routes of Northern Railway and North Western Railway.

Due to this work, more than 250 train trips will be cancelled, short-terminated, diverted, or rescheduled. Therefore, passengers who have already booked tickets will need to reconsider their travel plans. Those planning to travel in the coming days should check the latest train list and timings before leaving home.

Railway Provides Information

According to information received from the railways, several trains will be affected in the coming days due to major infrastructure upgrades. An automatic block signaling system is being installed between Dobh Bhali, Lahli, and Kalanaur Kalan stations on the Bhiwani-Rohtak section of the Bikaner division as part of a doubling project. This work will affect traffic on some routes.

Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, said that several train services will be cancelled, diverted, or regulated due to technical work. Northern Railway also stated that due to the commencement of patch doubling and signaling work, some trains of the Bikaner division will be temporarily operated on alternative routes. The railway says that this step is necessary to improve safety and operations.

• Train number 54016 Bhiwani-Rohtak train will remain cancelled from January 27 to February 16.
• Train number 54013 Rohtak–Bhiwani train will remain canceled from January 27th to February 16th.
• Train number 54018 Bhiwani–Rohtak train will remain canceled from January 27th to February 16th.
• Train number 54015 Rohtak–Bhiwani train will remain canceled from January 26th to February 15th.
• Train number 54014 Bhiwani–Rohtak train will remain canceled from January 27th to February 16th.
