One of these schemes is the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, under which eligible families receive free treatment up to ₹5 lakh per year. However, many people still don't know whether they are eligible for this scheme or how to get an Ayushman card.

The entire process can now be completed from the comfort of your home using your mobile phone. So, let's tell you today how you can get an Ayushman card from home and what the easy process is.

How can you get an Ayushman card from home?

  • The government has now simplified the process of getting an Ayushman card. You no longer need to travel anywhere or fill out any forms.
  • To get an Ayushman card from home, you first need to visit the scheme's official website, mera.pmjay.gov.in, or the PMJAY/Ayushman app.
  • After this, first check your eligibility here.
  • If you are eligible, you must log in to the app or website.
  • After logging in, enter your Aadhaar number and enter the OTP received on your mobile phone.
  • Now, click your photo with your mobile camera and submit it.
  • After this, the Ayushman card will be ready and available for download within seconds.

You can also get your card made from a CSC center.

If you're not comfortable with the online process, you can also get an Ayushman card made at your nearest Common Service Center. The staff there will verify your eligibility and perform document verification. If everything is in order, your card will be generated.

Who can get an Ayushman card?

Under this scheme, people working in the unorganized sector are considered eligible for the Ayushman card.

  • People over 70 years of age are also eligible.
  • The poor and economically weaker sections are also eligible.
  • Those who do not receive ESIC benefits can also apply.
  • Those who do not pay PF can also benefit from this scheme.
