When receiving a call from an unknown number, it is often difficult to identify the caller or know which company or role they are associated with. Addressing this issue, Truecaller has partnered with LinkedIn. This integration allows users to display verified professional details from their LinkedIn profiles on the Truecaller Caller ID. This feature is particularly useful for professional calls.

A key highlight of this feature is the display of verified LinkedIn information on Truecaller. If a user has verified their company or other professional details on LinkedIn, the corresponding verification indicators will also appear on Truecaller.

According to Truecaller, after viewing the caller's profile, the recipient can navigate to their LinkedIn profile to gain further insight into the individual's professional background.

Benefits When Creating a New Profile

The LinkedIn integration is not limited to existing users; new Truecaller users can get started using the "Login with LinkedIn" option. This process allows details such as name and profile photo to be automatically populated from LinkedIn into the Truecaller profile.

Additionally, existing users can link their LinkedIn accounts to Truecaller to showcase their professional identity.

Name to Appear on Caller ID

This new feature enables Truecaller users to connect their LinkedIn accounts to their profiles. With the user's permission, details such as their name, profile photo, company, and job title can be displayed on Truecaller.

When such a user calls someone, the recipient's Caller ID will display not only the name and phone number but also the associated professional information. This provides the recipient with additional context regarding the caller's identity and profession.

Displaying information is entirely up to you

Truecaller has clarified that connecting a LinkedIn profile and displaying professional information is not mandatory. Users can decide for themselves whether or not they wish to display their workplace and job title on the Caller ID. The LinkedIn account can also be disconnected from Truecaller at a later stage.

Feature currently available to Android users

This integration between Truecaller and LinkedIn is currently being rolled out to Android users globally. According to the company, this feature will be introduced for iPhone users at a later date. This means that, for now, those using Truecaller on Android can link their verified professional LinkedIn identity with the Caller ID.

The objective of this partnership is to provide greater context, particularly for calls where the caller and the receiver do not already know each other. When receiving calls from recruiters, clients, suppliers, or business contacts, the professional information displayed on the Caller ID can help the user understand the context of the call.
