Sanitary napkin vending machines have been installed at 175 railway stations across the Delhi, Firozpur, Ambala, Moradabad, and Lucknow railway divisions, keeping the needs of female passengers in mind. A total of 500 machines have been set up under this initiative, providing free sanitary napkins to women. The availability of such a facility at busy public places like railway stations is expected to bring relief to lakhs of female passengers. Notably, this service will be available round-the-clock.

According to officials, approximately 3 crore sanitary napkins have been distributed through these machines so far, demonstrating the initiative's utility.
